It is not enough to say that I write , because words have a funny way of feeling better when they are written, than we then they are spoken. It is not enough to say that I write because I just want or need to say something or to be heard. It is not enough to say that I write, because I just love to do so.In all honesty, writing for me is.'love-hate relationship', so to speak.
Writing it's like my own roommate that I live with; Quiet, apologetic and mostly really frustrating, as she crosses her fingers that this time she will find an envelope which will hold such a powerful and meaning story. However, if she does not, she intentionally will keep me awake all hours of the night, as she's constantly nagging on and on about which words rhyme with lonely, broken, lost, abandoned and unloved.
Often times, she seems to follow the scent of cigars, cigarettes, alcohol and coffee, as if caffeine and nicotine or her life-source. She does not really understand or know the difference between a good morning and a good night.
Writing is a random stranger who sits beside of me at the bar. He is loud, rude and obnoxious as well. He offers me a drink and I kindly take it. Then, as if he thinks that he knows anything remotely close about me, he briefly asks, tell me on a scale of just One beer to five shots of tequila how much do you miss him?
